LIKE most of us, Mike Newman became increasingly frustrated when being asked to create and remember yet another password. But instead of simply getting annoyed, the 46-year-old got creative – and his company My1Login was born with investment angel syndicates including Equity Gap, Par and TRI Capital.

Inventor of G-Hold snubbed by Dragons' Den strikes deal with
Apple and Microsoft

The Scottish inventor of the G-hold tablet holder which was rejected by Dragons' Den last year has signed new collaboration deals with tech giants Microsoft and Apple.  Single mum Alison Grieve, who launched G-Hold three years ago, saw her 'hand-hold' technology rejected by the hit BBC show last September. Despite the setback, which would have forced Grieve to part with equity in exchange for £75,000 in growth finance, sales continued to grow.
